Según la revista Time, el servicio web que encabeza la lista de los cincuenta mejores websites 2009 es Flickr. Una de las razones por la que esta aplicación ha sido elegida, según anotan los organizadores, es que “los ordenadores no manejan las imágenes con la misma facilidad con la que analizan textos o números. Flickr fue el primer sitio web en resolver ese problema con algo llamado etiquetado colectivo”.Este listado de top 10 la completan: California Coastline, Delicious, Metafilter, Popurls, Twitter, Skype, Boing Boing, Academic Earth, OpenTable… luego le siguen el buscador de Google, YouTube y cuarenta y ocho etcéteras más. Según Time estas cincuenta websites son indispensables para la navegación, la diversión, las compras y, cómo no, para matar el tiempo libre…
Este listado no se parace en mucho al listado de websites usadas para aprender, como ya vimos en una nota aquí el 12 de julio de 2009. Esto es, la lista de los 10 primeros de los 50 Best Websites 2009 no son los mismos 10 del Top 100 Tools for Learning 2009. Ojo, aunque el método con el que han sido confeccionados ambos listados no sea idéntico, no deja de llamar la atención las diferencias (Imagen).
Pregunto: ¿a qué se deben estas diferencias?, ¿por qué Flickr está primero en uno y Twitter en otro?
